Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-Winning American classic To Kill a Mockingbird transfers to the West End from Broadway in a new adaptation by Aaron Sorkin.

Inspired by Lee’s own childhood in Alabama, To Kill a Mockingbird features one of literature’s towering symbols of integrity and righteousness in the character of Atticus Finch, based on Lee’s own father. The character of Scout, based on herself, has come to define youthful innocence – and its inevitable loss – for generation after generation of readers around the world.

Mrs Adams

A fantastic performance which really did credit to the original book. Loved it!

Lee Arthur

Although the actors were wonderfully casted I particularly loved Matthew Modine's portrayal of the solicitor Atticus Finch. Most believable! An excellent play with a most meaningful and poignant storyline - although sadly with such a unexpected outcome! Great evening of superb entertainment!

John Fitzgerald

Fantastic acting & presentation. Remarkable set & lighting.

Tim Beavis

A very powerful performance with a relevant link to the current times.

STUART MACDONALD

The performance was outstanding, I truly memorable evening. The theatre is very nice but ladies, make sure you go to the washroom before you arrive. The shortage of ladies toilets is ridiculous.

Kate Phillips

Excellent, all of the actors were superb. Was a great way to spend an afternoon.

Shayaan Aga

fabulous. moving.

Mary Jane

Variations from the original book made it less enjoyable.

V Sowden

Fantastic production in a lovely theatre.

Fantastic acting was good best line actually was from calpurnia,” you have no idea who you are disrespecting when your respecting those whom degrade colouresd..” something to that effect and it does make you realise you can minimise or apologise for the brutality of others by making excuses for them to a certain degree. Perhaps there was a part of attiicus that saw himself in the others too even though he defended Tom to the end, I sometimes wondered was it because he cared enough about the humanity of black peoples or trying to will white people to change because he is also white, was he fighting for himself and his own beliefs rather more than trying to defend a brutalised community.

Mary

Excellent performances from all - a very touching and thought-provoking play.
