A Christmas Carol Tickets

The Old Vic Theatre's Artistic Director, Matthew Warchus, has provided an update on the off-West End venue's programming for the remainder of the year.

First-look photos have been released for A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic, now in rehearsals. The Matthew Warchus show opens for previews on 23 November and officially opens on 4 December.

Following the huge success of Jack Thorne’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic, it was only right that it was announced to return once again for a limited run this festive period. Tickets for A Christmas Carol at London’s The Old Vic are still available but won’t hang around for long now that Rebecca Trehearn and Andrew Langtree have been announced to be joining the cast. The Old Vic’s production of A Christmas Carol has become a staple of the West End Christmas season. The production has seen numerous big-name stars portray Ebeneezer Scrooge and this year will be no different. It has been announced that this year’s star will be Paterson Joseph.

The Old Vic Theatre has announced further casting for this year’s production of A Christmas Carol. This news comes after it was announced that Stephen Tompkinson would be starring as the cranky old miser, Ebenezer Scrooge.

The Old Vic Theatre, which celebrated its 200th birthday this year, has just announced the highly anticipated lineup for Part 2 of its 2018-2019 Season. The news comes months after the Part 1 announcement when we were teased with the brand-new Lucy Prebble play, A Very Expensive Poison. The Old Vic’s 2018-2019 Season marks the fourth season with Matthew Warchus as Artistic Director.

The Old Vic Theatre, which is currently celebrating its 200th anniversary since it first opened its doors in 1818, has just announced its lineup of shows for the autumn to winter season. Among such shows are Emma Rice's Wise Children and an all-new play by Lucy Prebble entitled A Very Expensive Poison that is based on the controversial assassination of Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko.

Adeel Akhtar, Amelia Bullmore, Keir Charles and Samantha Spiro will join Jim Broadbent in the cast of A Christmas Carol at the Noël Coward Theatre.
 
Adeel Akhtar is best known for his work in film and television. He was BAFTA-nominated for his role in Utopia, played hapless Fessal in Chris Morris’ Four Lions and played Maroush in Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator. His work on-stage includes playing Guildenstern in Hamlet at the Young Vic.
