400 reviews4.9very good production theatre very impressive with plenty of bars and amenities made for a very enjoyable evening.
Very good, professional artists, interesting arrangements, relaxing atmosphere, surprising& amazing special effects
First time at the old Vic. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Will be returning. The little extras like the mince pies, oranges, snow, so so lovely. Paterson Joseph was terrific as was the rest of the cast and production.
I thought that was the best stage production that I've seen. I enjoyed the audience particapation - even getting soaked with snow!! - and filled my belly with warm mince pies and an orange - yes, I managed to catch one. Well done Old Vic.
Vibrant, delightful, a real treat
A lovely way to spend a wet and windy winter's afternoon. We were lucky enough to be on seats on the stage so were very close to the action. A thoroughly enjoyable portrayal of Charles Dickens' Christmas Carol.
Saw it last year & loved it so came back for more this year. Loved the whole ambiance and Scrooge was terrific! The performance itself was great although I felt some of it was hurried or cut short, presumably as a result of the 30 mins delay sadly due to illness of a cast member. However, having been happy to pay £110 each for what I thought would be great seats, we found half our view of the stage was obscured by the barrier for the stairs and I was freezing as we were sat in a cold draught. All in all, I felt the afternoon was somewhat spoiled and the cost excessive, given the experience of the seats, which was a shame.
Fantastic performance, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
This production of "A Christmas Carol" at The Old Vic is excellent, beautifully staged and a first rate cast who made you feel very welcome on arrival and really got into the festive spirit!
I had lovely time.
It was an amazing production. Loved every minute of it. Reliving it as I go on. Would come again if I had time to do it. Truly wonderful!
Great show well performed loved it!
